Product Details
  • Chemical-free disinfection; economical to operate and maintain
  • Designed to treat 1 to 50 gpm
Siemens Sunburst™ UV Systems minimize risk to your employees because they don’t require dangerous chemicals. These ultraviolet water purifiers are economical to operate and maintain. They include a heavy-duty electropolished 304 SS pressure vessel rated to 100 psi. UV dosage greater than 40,000 µWs/cm2 is standard. Install the vessel either vertically or horizontally using the included mounting brackets. Units are 120 VAC. Alternate voltages are available; contact USABlueBook for details.  Sunburst UV Systems are manufactured in several configurations for flow rates of 1 to 50 gpm: Sunburst SB Series include visual lamp-out alarms. Models SB-7 to SB-20 also include audible lamp-out alarms and flow control devices.  Sunburst SBW Series are similar to the SB series, but they additionally include a manual wiper to clean the quartz sleeve. Use the optional UV monitor with any SBW Series UV system to check for proper lamp operation. If the lamp intensity is low, you may need to clean the quartz sleeve or change the UV lamp.  Sunburst SBH Series include visual lamp-out alarms, flow control devices, and a cover to protect the vessel and electrical components.  Sunburst SB-DOH Series meet the requirements of many of the nation’s health agencies. These systems come standard with several built-in safety features, including UV monitoring, flow control, automatic shut-off valve, two-minute warm-up delay, quartz sleeve wiper and remote audible/visual alarms.  Note: UV light transmittance is based on the clarity of the inlet water. It is recommended that you filter your inlet water prior to entering the UV system. We highly recommend that you contact your local permit-monitoring agency prior to purchasing a UV system. UV disinfection is not an approved disinfection method in some areas.
